Reframing Migration Research Residency, 2004.
During a one-week residency at SVA in 2024, funded by The Paul Mellon Centre, Anna developed visual responses to on-going research looking at photography & migration at the border in Calais, France.
The aim of the residency was to experiment with different methods of visualising her research to share & respond to its findings, & in turn, ask questions about the possibility of activating images of migration (within a gallery context) whilst, facilitating a discussion space where the research can be explored and expanded.
During the week residency Anna facilitated a seminar entitled; ‘Reframing Migration’ with practitioners, NGO communications staff, activists and researchers working locally with photography and issues of migration.
